How Do You Clean Interior Gelcoat?

We've been on our Lagoon 410 since November and have yet to find a way to properly clean the interior gelcoat surfaces. It seems as if the dirt/crumbs just slide around and refuse to be picked up by the cleaning rag. The heads are particularly troublesome. We are picky about clean heads but the stray hairs drive me crazy. The only way to get it off is to slide all the stuff to one spot and "pinch" with a rag. Is there a product or rag/pad that relaxes the surface tension on gelcoat and makes clean up easier? Does anyone else have this problem?? Any advice greatly appreciated....Sid

?? is it a static electricity problem? if so, once clean you could try wiping with clothes drier cloths...and see if the staic stays away....? wierd. Do you use a vacuum first?

Re: How Do You Clean Interior Gelcoat??

Not sure if it's static electricity or not, but hey that's a good start. I'll try wiping with a dryer sheet. I haven't tried the vacuum because it's the countertops in the galley and head that's problematic. The vacuum does work on the floors in the head...

For deep cleaning I use Soft Scrub or 3m Finesse it. Not sure if they eliminate static or not.
