Re: Help Needed

Yacht path is another "mast up" float on, float off transport. Both are good. Shipped a J-160 from Auckland to Ensendada in 2006 with Dockwise 'Super Servant' after sailing her to NZed in 2005. Owner wanted to try to sell her in Auckland. Cost him 35K with a 3 month advance notice and deposit. Otherwise 46K. Would have sailed her home but owner didn't want to wait for the proper time.

Re: Help Needed

you are crazy if you want to sail alone get a smaller monohull. for 250k$ or 190k euro you can buy new 30-35ft fast cruiser delivered to Australia and still 50k$ left in your pocket. my short list:

Azuree 33 Azuree
Elan 350 Yacht, Sail, Boat, Yachts - ELAN YACHTS | Elan 350
Beneteau First 30 First 30 / First / Sailing Yachts - BENETEAU

or you can buy barely used one. keep in mind if EU TAX paid you can claim back VAT, so price -20%

I am looking to buy a boat that I can live in longterm. I am also looking for a boat that I can take out in the ocean singlehandedly. Being completely new to sailing and not even having done the courses, at first I'll keep it moored in NSW, Australia, then take it up and down the coast and only after a year or so and much learning take out out to New Zealand. I have a dog that lives with me. My budget is about $200,000 to $300,000. I guess I would also have to pay for the boat to be shipped to Australia. Any idea how much that would cost? Any idea on what would be the best boat to buy? I am female and not very strong in the arms.
