Help Marina Wants Out Of Water Survey

It seems to me that a marina as a landlord has the right to impose any requirements it may wish, just so they re not illegal. Likewise, any potential renter has the right not to rent from a marina because he/she does not like the requirements.

Is not this type of freedom among the elements that cause many of us to become cruisers?

Probably, but it is difficult to secure jurisdiction over the owner if he/she has sailed away on another vessel. If, as has been implied, there was insurance that provided coverage AND was in effect, the entire thing is more difficult to understand. Of course, the marina might have protected itself in several ways, but it is not always easy or inexpensive to do so using acceptable methods.
