Good Liveaboard Spots in S. FL. ?

My Fiance has two job offers West of Hollywood. We looked and looked and could not find any realistic place to keep our liveaboard clumsy catamaran. Ideally it would be a t-head as she's too clumsy to get inside a tight marina. The only sort of realistic thing we found was the mooring balls at Dinner Key. Help ! Did we miss anything ?

If you can clear the fixed 55' I-95 bridge, then Marina Bay Resort has a resonable monthly rate and probably a place for your beam.

Thanks all. Hollywood Marina said "no liveaboards". Couldnt find anything beamie enough for us in isle of Venice and Hendricks isle. Bahia Del Mar wants $2k/month. We did find a spot at loggerhead but couldn't get in to the inside spot. My one engine cat is too clumsy. Lovely marina. We can't clear that bridge. Municipal marina won't rent a ball monthly. Ah well. If we move South it seems we'll be on a ball in Miami. There's worse fates.

Did you consider Marathon Marina? We stayed there for a month, there are quite a few liveaboards there and we too have a catamaran. They are reasonable.
Also we lived at Vinoy Yacht Club in downtown St. Pete for 2 months - very nice and also very reasonable.

If you're willing to go as far south as the Keys, Marathon's 'Boot Key Harbor' is probably one of the best liveaboard locations in FL. It's close to Home Depot, West Marine and a grocery store. Very boater friendly community. Very social harbor. Best part; it's probably the best hole for hurricane season you could ask for.
