Full time sailing and fishing licenses

I have seen a lot of videos about sailing full time.

A lot of the videos include fishing to keep fed ... not sport fishing.

I've never heard any mention about fishing licenses and wonder if, for saiors on the east or west coast of America, what the best course of action if one wants/needs to supplement the stores with fresh caught fish?

I would think that at 50 miles a day during a transit that the cost(and time), to get all those licenses would be prohibitive.

Licenses are not required beyond limits offshore. For example, fishing licenses in Florida are not required beyond three miles offshore on the Atlantic Coast and beyond nine miles offshore on the Gulf Coast. Florida fishing licenses for Florida State waters can be purchased at just about any place that sells fishing gear or bait. Also, Florida does not require a license for those under 16 or 65 and older. I can't tell you of other states, but they all have limited distance offshore requirements,- maybe all at 3 miles for ocean coasts.
