Thanks for sharing that info zboss. It is my understanding that using the boat documentation number is only possible for FL registered boats? At least it is REAL ID Act compliant. Well, for now anyway lol

Yes. I did it in March 2020, with my boat name and USCG doc. number as the address on my drivers license.
