Ensenada to San diego crossing with pets

Does anyone have first hand experience with crossing the Tijuana border with a dog? We are looking to spend a few months in Ensenada and would like to know how hard/easy it is to drive back to San Diego with our dog.

You can call this # 1-877-CBP-5511 but I think there are heavy restrictions for Mexico. I know you can not fly them in w/o health certs and shot records.

I carry a pet passport for my little guy.

I's not a big deal, whatsoever. I have a house in Baja, between Rosarito and Ensenada. My friends with dogs have NEVER had an issue with US officials, as long as they have their licenses (which don't get checked). The Mexicans couldn't care less. If you are worried, bring along a copy of their rabies shots.
