I'm busy planning a life that escapes into stunning blue water
, and have been reading about the complexities of expatriation... I've (read) that it's best to visit places you're interested in (and if there are a bunch, that could get spendy without a boat)... so, boat
(first) seems to be the answer, then visit, fall in love, and then maybe buy-in. The killer-diller part of this theory is knowing the feasability of region-wide marinas
(caribbeans, S. America, maybe even Pacific). Is liveaboard
even a thought process in island nations?
I have (somewhat) limited resources, and have a need to get it right the first time: sailboat about $150,000 (paid for on purchase) and then a home of about the same.
Clearly I need more ideas...
The jist is this... a calm, secure, simple life, not over-reaching a modest budget
, but for sure, a feeling that I can calm down, and feel safe - a sense of being "home", and secure in that feeling.
Maybe I'm just nuts
Ideas liveaboards !
