Boil some diced potatoes, leave firm but cooked. Mix 50/50 with hash. some parsley, liitle salt and pepper.
Roll into ball, flatten onto dry flour. Few minutes in frying pan both sides til crisp. Campbells pork and beans with some mustard mixed in, on the side.
15 grain bread, and butter.
Knock on the gate, you are in heaven.

I add chopped, canned beets to my corned beef hash. In New England it's called Red Flannel Hash.

Re: corn beef $1.00 @ wallmart
I love my hash. Lotsa peppers and onions with the potatoes.
Let bottom of pan turn the meat slightly crispy before stiring mixture to expose more meat to the high heat at bottom of pan.
Use lotsa black pepper. This stuff will get you through any gale.
Keeps well w/o refrigeration and good reheated .
If at anchor wash down with plenty of cheap red wine and " almost true" stories to your laughing fellow rovers....

Quite right, Europeans should stick to soft French cheeses, German Sausages and dairy from the low countries.
Corned Beef went off the menu a while back when we found most of it comes from Argentina who were having a small war with at the time.

At least with Ivermectin you won't get heartworms.
