Comfortable Blue Water Cruising

Hi All
I am dreaming about sailing full time for at least 3 years using Alan Philips Book "Around The World Sailing Guide" as my goal. I have been following CF's Forum for about 8 months and have found a lot of useful information.
My Question
What 3 things are your "must have" for either entertainment, cooking of comfort.

Once you have wound up the winch and filled the bilge (assuming you are wearing your stubbies)
For us, plenty of solar which allows a decent capacity 12VDC watermaker. hot water showers:comfort. Lots of reading material both electronic and physical books. A decent stove and oven with a grill with the luxury of a freezer gives us the ability to be self-sufficient for months. Good luck with your dream - hope you escape soon. Don't let yourself get sidetracked - just go.
