chilipad?

Has anyone tried a chilipad or equivalent device to cool down your bed at night in the tropics? It uses a sort of swamp cooler to chill water in plastic pipes in your bed, do you think it might be helpful? It seems the swamp cooler would have to be on deck to avoid excess humidity in the cabin, perhaps you could circulate seawater through and dispense with the swamp cooler?
