Ceiling Hook

I am looking for a ceiling hook (like what you would use to hang a plant from the ceiling) that would some how attach to an overhead hatch. It would need to be strong enough to hold about 2-3 pounds. I'd love for it to not interfere with the closing of the hatch shade/screen.

I bought an overhead hanging solar light that I want to hang on the ceiling in our head to serve as a night light, and to look pretty. But I forgot that our ceiling is vinyl. hanging it from the hatch would be ideal because it would get the most sun there... Any suggestion?

Re: Ceiling Hook

Solar lights are not heavy. Perhaps a velcro strap would do the trick? Other things like peel-off self-stick hooks, or even a length of tape could hold the lamp up. It might also be able to hang from a string led across the opening.

Re: Ceiling Hook

I was going to suggest checking Amazon for sky hooks, but with the Chinese sources dubious, maybe that's not a player.

So instead, how about one of the suction cup devices? I think one could easily support a lamp and would be easy to attach and remove from the hatch lens.
