Butane Availability

We purchased our Lavezzi 40 in Guadeloupe. The boat came with 2 large 15kg blue butane bottles, fortunately full. The question is as we cruise northward through the Caribbean chain it appears everywhere else seems to use LPG. I know I need a different regulator to switch to LPG but of course the connection at the tank is also different. Is there a connector available or do I need to switch out the hose from the tank to the stove. Has anyone else done this conversion?

I have ( actually sent the other way )
The lpg jets are usually slightly larger but the butane ones will usually do. Equally the euro 30mb regulator will do both.

You may find a need to alter the jet size. But usually not

Butane is a better cooking fuel anyway. More efficient per weight. It’s also typically easier to source then propane
