budget/expenses spreadsheet

There are a few threads that crop up now and again regarding budgeting and expenses so i thought i would share my spreadsheet i use for household budgeting,it may be useful to others.

Its still a work in progress as i got bored of the formatting once it was functional enough, someone with more excel knowledge than i(most people) may be able to tidy it up a bit.

data is entered on the month worksheets, the categories in the drop down box can be edited to your liking on the in/out worksheet.

feel free to ask questions if anything doesn't make sense.

Re: budget/expenses spreadsheet

Wow, I'm such a sad case of American exceptionalism - I was shocked that the currency was Krona. Nice link, thanks for sharing.

Re: budget/expenses spreadsheet

theres actually 3 different currencies on the accounts page, should be easy enough to change them for your preferred currency.

by the way,the figures in the months of march/april(i think) are there for demonstration, not my actuals.

in a few weeks we will be publishing our cost data for 8 years of so - something we do annually - we convert everything to USD -- we are in the Med so a lot of currencies depending on where we travel - in 2016 we had currencies for Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, Transnestia, Romania, and Bulgaria -
in 217 we are lucky in only euro and Turkish lira
