Broker in the Houston Area

I found a boat that I am interested in and need some help finding a Broker in the Houston\Kemah area. I did a search here on CF and found a couple references to Surveyors but no brokers.

Any first hand knowledge would be appreciated.

Re: Broker in the Houston Area

When I was talking to the selling broker he told me that they had a great sailing community there in Kemah, and that there are great sailing destinations in Houston\Galveston and all the way down to Mustang Island.

I'm guessing from the response to this thread looking for anyone that has a broker they would recommend for a buyers broker says that his comments may have been a little exaggerated.

Kent Little is a CF Member. Located in Kemah, which is the boating hub for Houston.
Tell him I sent you, and that you are a CF member too.

Hope that helps.

Re: Broker in the Houston Area

We were in Kemah for a couple of years, at Seabrook marina. The only broker in the area I know is Jeremy Hood, and I can recommend him. Jeremy certainly knows boats and I believe he is honest.

We only did day sailing out in Galveston Bay, and in the summer Friday night cruises for the fireworks. We never did anchor out for the night because of the heat.

Mike Firestone is a well known and very reputable surveyor if you need one.

However, I will ask the question - if you found the boat, do you really need a broker? Surveyor, yes, but why a broker?
