Bremerton

We have been cruising the Puget Sound and have stayed in 4 marinas Blaine, Des Moines, Swantown (Olympia), and Bremerton. Trying to settle in for the winter as liveaboards.
Of these marinas and others that we have contacted, Bremerton is the only one without a wait and have 7 slips our size to choose from. The marina is half full.

We have stayed here 5 days and have found it to be a new and clean place, short walk to the seattle ferry, (gotta catch a Mariners game) and can catch a lite rail to SeaTac.

So the question begs............ whats wrong with Bremerton?

There is absolutly nothing wrong with Bremerton. In general the Kitsap penninsula is on a long slow upswing. Every year new stufff is built and even the marina is quite new. Security should be good. I have no idea what the cost is though.
The ferry ride is longish and jobs are scarce. If I lived down that way Idora would be there.

the price is a steeper, about 100 bucks, its an hour to seattle, 2 bucks for a ride to port orchard, of course nothing much there. The ferry gives a gentle rock on the guest dock, pretty much guano free not like Olympia which was poop city and blaine where the hordes screeched all night long.
