Boat / house swap for a week or month

Hey community,

We don't have our boat anymore, and we moved on land in Costa Rica and built an awesome house in the best ecovillage in existence. But, we miss our boat. The sea is in our soul from a few years cruising. We've got this idea of offering our awesome house for a "house/boat-swap" with a couple/family that is living aboard/cruising and who needs a break from the water and/or would enjoy some time in an amazing house in the Costa Rica mountains 20 miles from the pacific with a car and a hobie cat.

I'm a licensed USCG captain with references and lot's of experience, and my wife & I have cruised many thousands of miles, see weehappy.com to read about us, before selling our boat to buy land and build a house in Costa Rica a couple years ago.

Now we have an amazing zen-inspired house made of all natural materials, sustainably harvested rainforest hardwoods and earthen-plaster walls. The house is in the most amazing ecovillage on the planet, see laecovilla.com, with fiberoptic internet, productive permaculture gardens, an international community, an amazing river for swimming, and the most delicious water you've ever tasted.

We'd like to arrange house-swaps and boat/house swaps with couples and families so that we can continue to travel while sharing our amazing house in Costa Rica.

May the winds be just how you want them,
Captain Kris

Re: Boat / house swap for a week or month

Hey there Wee Happy!
I have just joined the group and have seen your post.
We (hubby and me) have a Westerly Oceanlord monohull which is currently in Denia, Spain. Our non boat home is in Scotland and we try to spend around 6months aboard each year. I don't know if your house/boat swap suggestion was just for US based boats or not but we are intrigued with your "ecostlye" home in Costa Rica and wondered about considering a swap?
Please let us know what you think.
Cheers
Lorraine and Chris
