I really like my Nor'sea 27. With the bowsprit, it measures about 30'.
for under 26', Flicka or Dana would top the list, then Cape Dory 25 would be worth considering. A lot depends on how much space you want and how you're going to use the boat. A boat you'll live on is one thing, but whether it stays at the dock or for frequent travels could mean a different type of boat to consider.

Not sure why you are restricting yourself to 26' but you should take a look at a Cape Dory 28. Good solid boats, full headroom, decent berths, sails beautifully and you can usually find one that needs a little elbow grease for under $20K
