Ok here is an actual experience. Me in the John Wayne Marina; "Do you allow liveaboards?" Harbor Master ans. "no"
me, "Do you allow guests to sleep on their boats?" ans. "Yes of course."
me, "Well will you give a monthly rate to guests?" ans. "Hum, yes I guess we can
work something like that out."
me, "But at a discounted rate, right?" ans. "Yes, of course."
me,"OK I would like a slip as a guest for about 3 months." ans. "Great we have several empty slips available for guests. But you may have to move once in a while."
me, "No problem, sign me up in B-39."
Be creative, be respectful, be nice, most Harbor Masters like a few permanent residents. They like to have the extra
security. They need occasional help. But sometime rules get in the way, Sunseeker.
