Re: Bay Area resident looking to move aboard in September

I guess the moon was in the wrong phase to purchase a boat.*^&%#$@ I just see the shrinking big boat slips and rents climbing because people not at all interested in sailing or boating buying $600 boats for housing. I feel anyone wishing to live on their boat have some interest in boating because that's what harbors are for. Boats are on a trust basis because they sit so vulnerable to theft and vandals. The live-aboards drive the price up on the larger slips and the harbor masters don't enforce the sea worthy and insurance policies that are on all boats. The homeless buy cheap derelict boats and many have no clue what even galvanization is. Maybe someone should build a harbor for residents only. There is certainly demand for it and I recommend Berkeley since it always likes being first.
