Bajau people live in the middle of the sea on house boats without nationality

I fell over an interesting documentary (see video links bottom).

Bajau
people (also known as Sea Gipsies) live in the middle of the sea, rarely go on land, have no nationality, no fixed abode, no money....

The Bajau (or called Sama-Bajau) people fled the Philippines for Malaysia, only to find themselves banned from stepping ashore.


Bajaus become landsick when visiting shores for buying rice, fuel for the engines or maintenance their boats.

Being born in a water world.... born on a boat, and living all life on house boats they have adapting perfectly for staying, in and under the water.

The life of the Bajaus is still and continuously threatened.... e.g. by dynamite fishing destroying the naturally fish resources and piracy as shown in following documentary.
