Live aboard life is different as we let go shore side trappings, live in close quarters and deal with the soul searching dynamics of a changing environment.

So what do you like in your partner?

For me with my woman, I like her the same as my toast..
..Crispy! and petit to get into those small spaces[emoji4]

By crispy, I mean with a tough attitude that keeps me grounded and unspoiled, yet 100% enjoyable to be around when things are less than nice.

So what do you like in your partner ?

i'm happy just with coffee and sex in no particular order....but the coffee has to be made properly ,that is a table spoon and a half of instant,2/3rd hot water and 1/3rd milk..
sex i don't mind quick, regular,medium or strong but the coffee is important

I'm lucky enough to have found two amazing people to share my days with, and all I really ever want from either of them is to just be happy and enjoy life. I'll scurry around and make coffee, cook dinners, drive the boat (even though they help and can and often do do everything too)...the amount of my 1/3 "share" of storage space on our boat that's been whittled away from me is astounding! More art supplies! More books! More shoes!!

But it's more fun for me to bring happiness to them than the effort of these things

Sense of fun and adventure and everything else just seems to follow. Funny Atoll usually If I do not have coffee first then you can forget the sex as I am usually a bit of a bear to be around!

Poor wee kitties. I've been wondering how my two rescue cats will take moving onto a boat. They're quite skittish and easily unsettled but I'm sure with enough love they'll survive. I'll find out in 12'ish months.

My wife and I are celebrating fifty years together with most of those years spent aboard. We did well by being able to enjoy ourselves independently as well as together. This was important for us, but I like Boatman's answer!

I don't understand how the intricacies of marine based relationships need to be any different than other relationships, with the key point that boatman brings up.

i think at the time of posting i was overwhelmed by all the touchy feeley bs going on in other threads posted by rabid feminists with agendas.
