Cadence, check post #10, above. Atoll invited Chris to come to wherever he is and he'll trade days work on one boat in the yard, for days on the other boat. An opportunity to learn both ends of ownership, as it were, plus a hand for Atoll.

i can help,i have a 28ft yacht in the uk you can use in return for some help in the boat yard doing a haul out on my other boat.
just pay your flights and food and get here,call it a straight swap,days of labor for days on the boat ,you can live onboard for free in the meantime till the boatyard work is done
IMO, this is an excellent deal. Even on your working "payback" days you'll be learning from an expert.

Ann, I went back and looked. I don't really see it as the same. It sounds like allowing someone who admittedly has nil in the way of experience the use of a boat in exchange for labor not crewing. I may have misunderstood it?
