Re: Any Recommendations for Replacing Mattresses in Owner's Berth ?

I found these folks and got a 5" vberth mattress and 2 4" firm main salon cushions cut to fit. Cost including shipping was CHEAP! $250. I had them all covered locally. Most comfortable mattress I slept on....seriously.
Ask for Amanda. Recieved order in 5 days!

You can buy the mattress toppers with gel beads that are cool, or top your MF with a cloth mattress pad.

I've since this old comment replaced with cut to fit Memory foam.

Thats what we did. Liked this one so much that we purchased for guest berth as well. Didnt have the heat sink issue of memory foam.

Re: Any Recommendations for Replacing Mattresses in Owner's Berth ?

I love to sleep in comfort. The mattresses in the aft cabin of the Cheoy Lee 52 are hand made by "HomeOfWool" in Bulgaria. They made me three individual 3" inch mattresses of 100% Pure new Oeko-Tex certified wool, with 100% linen covers. They taper down slightly in size at each foot to match the hull, and rest on top of 1" mahogany slats. The base was easy to make and allows the mattresses to be lifted for access. They're actually 4" thick! Two would have been just fine. The first night I thought I'd need a step ladder, but quickly got used to the added height. I've had them two years so far in the Caribbean, and never slept on anything so cool and comfortable. I will never use latex or memory foam again.
