Active Captain degraded??

I just happened to go onto Active Captain after not using it for months.
Is it my computer or is it seriously degraded?
Mine showed large gaps in map coverage making it almost useless in many areas when looking for anchorages or marina info.
All you can see in some gaps is the ghosting of "navionics" faintly in the bare areas.
Zooming in or out did little. Moving the map about made no diff. also.
In my absence did Garmin do further to destroy a handy tool?

Re: Active Captain degraded??

It's working OK on my old, clunky Windows 7 laptop as of just now.

Granted, the look and feel has changed to be more Navionics-like. Some of the old search and filter functionality is either gone, or different. And of course, even fewer people like Garmin than liked Jeffrey, so it seems fewer people are posting.

That said, it's still a lot better than other alternatives (I'm looking at you, Dockwa) and I hope people can overcome their revulsion to everything Garmin touches, and help keep what's left of AC alive. It's still a pretty good tool, and posting updates and reviews helps all of us, not just Garmin.
