Tasmania, we havent had a covid transmission in months and months. Life is largely normal. We still hug and kiss and someone wearing a mask is a rare event.

Of course, gaining entry to these safe havens is not cut and dried, and sometimes not possible at all. That is one reason that they are safe havens...

As a Tasmanian resident just now, I'd say stay where you are!

Queensland , AUS is fantastic. You have tropics and subtropics so one can move from one to the other to avoid bad stuff.

We are actually still in tropics and enjoying it immensly. Never knew tropics are so great in summer. So far we had no lightening storm or any other bad weather. Very little insects as well. We may move further south feb and march as this is height of cyclone activity.

Crossing border with NSW is risky as borders close at very short notice.

so you're in cheshire ? for you i think finding a safe haven from the CV is going to be difficult.

ahh ! that makes a difference !

as you know, most of the pacific islands (and i include australia as one of these) are virtually virus free...but bloody hard to get into !

Yep, there are about 30,000 Australians still trying to get back into Australia and have been for months now.

Funny thing though, one of our harshest lock down prone, leaders just allowed 17 plane loads of players and officials in for a tennis tournament??

The best way to stay safe is to self isolate by buying a boat and going cruising in your home country.

The US Virgin Islands are open for business. COVID test is required for entry. Some for Grenada and most Caribbean islands, with the addition of quarantine. We had a delightful summer in Grenada. Masks were worn when in stores and entering/exiting restaurants and bars.
