I would recommend running off to the Galapagos Islands, at the moment they are struggling so any cash is cherished and not much of a crowd there. At some point there were zero cases and they are taking care not to get any...

Ecuador reopened its international airports on JUNE 1 and the Ecuadorian Government declared the Galapagos Islands Covid19 free and the Galapagos National Park reopened on JULY 1, with the first cruises having resumed on AUGUST 9! You can enter Ecuador also without quarantine!
Also, the Ecuadorian Government has updated important information about travelers arriving to the country as they announced that there is no need to have a second PCR TEST in order to enter The Galapagos Islands, if the test is within 4 days prior to the arrival on the islands. So, only one negative covid test result from within 4 days upon arrival on Galapagos is now needed.

Totally true about the Galapagos, you should consider the following though. It is affordable to moor at the islands, but to visit the Galapagos park sites with your own boat is a bit highly priced. It might be cheaper to book a cruise with a cruise that operates on a regular basis.

Many local agents in Ecuador are contacting us and we have started to get new requests for trips to the Galapagos Islands for 2022 (for our catamaran the Petrel), having said this many of the bookings we had in 2020 postponed for the second half of 2021, therefore many yachts that offer liveaboard cruises in the Galapagos islands*are already fully*booked for the summer and autumn season. At this moment yacht companies are looking to secure departures and leave full (most yachts are for 16 guests), there are still many deals available, but as time goes by the yachts will fill up and the prices will start to rise.*

For 2022 the pricing for cruises in Galapagos is also still low in comparison to first quarter rates for 2019. Travelers are still a bit hesitant to put down a deposit, this is keeping*prices low.*

Of course once the vaccine starts to kick in and both Europeans and US citizens start to travel again, the prices will spike. It is very unlikely that travelers will change their travel dates again, meaning bookings for the 2nd half of 2021 will be pretty firm. The vaccine will start kicking in and the curve will flatten and slowly decrease for new cases, as soon as this happens prices will spike.*

This will be specially true for niche destinations like Galapagos and the Amazon rainforest where there is limited capacity. More popular destinations with mainstream infrastructure and no caps on numbers will still retain bargain pricing for a longer period of time (perhaps 3 more months). For places like the Galapagos Islands we feel that by mid march the deals will disappear*and prices will rise.*

It is a great time to book a Galapagos cruise even if it is to travel after the summer or in 2022. Reasons:
- Prices are at an all time low, eveno for luxury yachts and catamarans- There are charter dates available for families and groups of friends- Booking conditions are flexible and if you book at this time you also get the possibility to change dates without a penalty (not the usual panorama for Galapagos boat based trips).

Getting to Ecuador from Indonesia is a bit problematic... but not impossible.
There would be worse places to go just now.... my mate in La Libertad says life is **fairly** normal... this is from PrensaLatina https://www.plenglish.com/index.php?...-covid-19-rise

Their sea border is open at present... land borders still closed... limited flights.

It is quite a passage you are planning if you think of sailing from Indonesia to Galapagos, but it has been done before. Many boats arrive from all over the world. Just remember the Equator winds are not consistent. If you plan to sail to Galapagos check our post on entry requirements:
