which would you rather...

If you HAD to: sail the bash from San Francisco to Seattle or the bash from Cabo San Lucas to San Diego.... (and why?)

We have done both. Much rather do it from Cabo, cus we get to vist friends in Hawyee !! It's sorta the same cus ya gotta go offshore to make either trip ! but from Cabo ya get the extra land vist! Just our 2 cents

The Baja bash has the advantage of being much warmer and with a much lower frequency of gale force or stronger winds. No contest in my mind...

Thanks for the replies. I've only done the Baja bash and did the coastal route because I was single-handing. I'm trying to decide between sailing or trucking my boat to Seattle. I was really dreading my bash up Baja after hearing all the horror stories but I had a really smooth passage (so I might be looking at the next leg up through "rose-colored" lenses). I only had to hole up for two days in Mag Bay and four days in Turtle Bay waiting for my weather window. Fair winds, Hank
