What's North of Clearwater on FL's West Coast?

Evening all - my wife and I are planning a two week sail the last weeks of March and we wondered whether we should sail north from Clearwater this time? I'll consult my cruising guide, but I wondered if any CF members had particular recommendations or experiences along the West Coast of FL north of Clearwater/Tarpon Springs? I've only sailed south so I wanted to reach out to the collective mind. Thanks for your time! Rich

Not much, that's where most sail out to cross the Gulf. Dunedin City Marina was where we stayed before we crossed to Carrabelle. We came out and turned northwest at Anclote Keys.

It's still cold up there in March. In the summer you can go to Crystal River or Cedar Key but that's about it unless you go over to the Carrabelle/Apalachicola or St. Joe Bay. I Include St. George's Island/Dog Island in that area.
