West End, Grand Bahama to Ft Lauderdale

We are planning to depart this evening or by midnight to cross the Gulf Stream to Ft Lauderdale from West End.

We've waited here a couple of days for ideal conditions, which appear will be present starting this evening.

Any recommendations on directions for our sail plan? We are considering heading south near Grand Bahama and then west to Ft Lauderdale or west to West Palm Beach and the south to Ft Laiderdale on the ICW. All thoughts or suggestions before 1:00PM EDT today, Wednesday 18 May will be appreciated. After that hour - no Internet service.
