Yep, it's a wonderful system...

In my case I'm grateful I did not buy an un-taxed EU boat, pay VAT as an EU resident and then import it. Then it would be tax on tax on tax....

Thankfully, 16 years in Sweden paying 25% Vat on everything and another 5% customs duty when buying from outside the EU makes me think 15.5% is a bargain
