As new boater looking for information, particularly canal / lock maps to get from Hampton Virginia to Lake Ontario, Belleville Ontario region

Hi:

We live in New Brunswick (next to Maine) and are planning to cruise from Rockland ME to NYC, up the Hudson and then Erie/Oswego Canal to Lake Ontarion and then to Kingston ON next June. We just bought our next boat today so we can get into the planning stages for the trip now. Will let you know what we plan on using for charts, guides etc.

We did the trip this year. Through the C&D, outside at Cape May, inside at Sandy Hook, up the Hudson to the Erie Canal, then Oswego. It could be done in under a month if you are in a hurry, but we weren't. Take a look at the Skipper Bob publications.
