Tell Me Something I Don't Know

Wanted to start a thread where people can post anchorages or other things that might not be readily apparent or covered in cruising guides for the area. I know nobody wants to share their secret gunkhole close to home but maybe you have some places so good the rest of us shouldn't miss it when we are in your area. Please no pics of Sunset Lake.

This is a spot in the Mcmullins Islands, central coast of BC. The whole area has plenty of uncharted rocks so a close bow look out is needed. There is not much cover of this group in local cruising guides. This little cove has plenty of depth and there is kelp marking the channel inside. There is good protection from the north and west but the wood on south facing beaches is testament to the lack of protection from the south and east. If there is south or east weather the north cove of Goose Island is less than 10 miles. For those who want all of the comforts of home there is an excellent take out fish stand maybe 1/2 mile north east of the cove over some deep rocks.
