st maarten to cancun

I'm planning on sailing a lagoon 500 from st maarten to cancun beginning of july ...must be in cancun by the 15th
the idea is to stop at S.Domingo, Montego Bay and eventually Gran Cayman...
any tip or advise on this route?

Not done that trip myself, but am thinking about a similar route and have spoken to several people about it. They all warn me that at this time of year, it can get boisterous. May I suggest that you toss some money at a weather router? Crown Weather Services spring to mind (no connection to them, except to say that I am a satisfied customer)
