Spanish Virgin Islands Charter

I am chartering a Hunter 49 in the BVI on 12 November 2011 and will drop it off in Purto Rico on 20 Nov. I plan to sail to the Bitter End on the 12th, then to Anegada on the 13th then to Jost Van Dyke on the 14th. On the 15th I will then proceed to the Spanish Virgin's which I have never been to. Any advice or recommendations as to where to go and where to spend the night would be most appreciated. Thanks, Max

Re: Spanish Virgin Islands Charter

Hi, Max, and welcome to CF.

Click on the link in my sig line and search for "Spanish Virgins". There are a number of threads in the archives with enough info to get you started. I'm sure members will chime in here, as well.

We enjoyed a very pleasant week and a half there. Culebrita was great. Dakity, Bahia de Almodovar, Ensenada Honda & Dewey on Culebra. Bahia Salinas and Ensenada Honda on Vieques. All were beautiful spots and generally uninhabited, except on the weekend when motor yachts from PR came out.

Fast Max:

I'll be doing a charter in January leaving from St. Thomas in the same area. Look forward to a cruise report from you after your trip. Enjoy the cruise.
