Shark River

I'm new to posting so I hope I'm in the right spot. We are thinking about going as far inland up the Shark River in the Everglades as possible. We want to do this in the next month before the Cape Sable thunderstorm factory cranks up. Not to mention the bugs. We draw 4.5 ft.. Does anyone have any information on the depth and submerged obstructions north of Gunboat Island. It looks like there would be no com unless you have have a satellite phone so you are on your own .

Re: Shark River

From looking at the charts it appears you have enough water to go all the way up into Tarpon Bay.

Re: Shark River

You should be able to go on the NOAA website and look at the most up to date charts there for the area.

Looks like an interesting trip to do some or all of the wilderness waterway.
