San Diego to Puerto Vallarta (the scenic route)

Verena and I would have created some interactive maps on our blog at PacificSailors.com | Taking Pictures • Leaving Wakes. The maps show our anchorages and some pertinent information about the surrounding area, such as where to snorkel and where to find groceries.

We left Ensenada this past spring and arrived in Puerto Vallarta (for a second time) a couple of weeks ago. Over that time period we ventured up into the Sea of Cortez as far as Loreto.

We found some great anchorages and has some good times. Hope that you find the maps useful. We are always happy to answer questions.

Great blog and pictures of some of our favorite places. Even though we've traveled far from there, we're still looking forward to cruising the west coast of Mexico again someday.

is beautiful here in la cruz--awesome sunrises and sunsets....we havent had rain tho with the lightning shows at night-- but is awesome watching the storms form and leave here--mebbe as we ar both in similar locales for named storms, we could meet up somewhere here in la cruz or between there and here??-

That's great man, we're actually leaving to head down to PV (and have our second kiddo there) in November, arriving sometime around Christmas. I'm sure that site will be really valuable for us.

We are actually making plans to get the boat hauled out, most likely in La Cruz. I will keep you posted Zee

mike---have you checked out opequimar?? is spozed to be less pricey and faster work. at la cruz i was quoted 3280usd for a haul and paint for my formosa 41 which is 28000 pounds and 40.9 inches in length. that is more than in usa at knight and carver.
if you do choose to come to la cruz, you will be out of water minimum one week and no live on board or doing own work at all here. good luck--i am still seeing a proper haul and launch for mine--i may just suck it up as regards mosquitos in san blas and do it there.
