Ready to cross any ocean or sea - The journey matters more than the destination

Hello fellow! I'm Mauro, 37-y old, an enthusiastic Italian crew member looking to join sailing adventures across any ocean route. I'm available for unlimited time and ready to embark on new journeys, regardless of starting point or destination.
What I Bring Aboard:
-Strong maintenance and repair skills – handy for keeping things running smoothly
-Quick learner with strong problem-solving abilities
-Multilingual: fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian; conversational German
-Currently studying for offshore sailing license (beyond 12 nautical miles)
-8 years of experience working with people with disabilities – great teamwork and communication skills
-Cooking skills including vegan and vegetarian cuisine
-Two weeks of initial sailing experience, eager to build upon this foundation
-Highly adaptable and willing to help with any tasks on board
-No time constraints – available for extended periods
My Approach:
I'm seeking this ocean crossing opportunity primarily to develop my sailing skills and gain deep-sea experience. As a quick learner with a practical mindset, I'm ready to immerse myself in all aspects of sailing life. Whether it's handling sailing duties, assisting with repairs, or preparing meals, I approach each task as a learning opportunity. My background in social work has taught me patience, empathy, and how to maintain harmony in shared spaces – essential qualities for long-distance sailing and living aboard.
What I'm Looking For:
-Ocean crossing opportunities
-Flexible with departure points and destinations
-Open to both short and long-term commitments
-Eager to learn and expand my sailing experience
-I'm ready to bring my skills, enthusiasm, and positive energy to your crew. Let's explore the seas together!

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, Mauro.

What are your requirements, if any, for travel [to/from boat] expenses, and ability to contribute to shared boat expenses [food etc]?

Welcome to the forum Mauro. I have friends sailing from Fiji on a slow trip to Europe. They're currently in northern Borneo. I've Pm'ed you with their details.

Re: Ready to cross any ocean or sea - The journey matters more than the destination

Thank you, GordMay. Depending on the boarding place, I will assess what expenses I will have to bear, but I consider them to be my responsibility. I can contribute to the costs of food and boat maintenance; in other experiences I've had, I didn't exceed 25€ per day.

Thanks e Buona Serata
