Need Help Planning Trip

Too many destinations too little time.

So I'm looking at departing from Portland, Oregon anytime after the end of May. So June, July, Etc. I would like to go either to Mexico or Hawaii and on from there, depending on the weather of course.

What I'm looking for is suggestions on best departure time and route.

I'm familiar with the northern waters of the pacific, as I have spent most of my time there, but it's time for me to branch out.

Thanks!

If going to Hawaii,go south of the Pacific high before turning west.If going into Mexico ,wait till November before going south of San Diego ,or the Hurricane could eat you up.
