My oneday voyage
This is going to be my voyage once i get the right boat.
-Start off in the hudson river.
-Make my way out of the NYC harbor.
-Travel down the east coast.
-Stop in the bahamas for any supplies.
-Through the Panama Canal.
-Up the West Coast.
-Sail onto Hawaii.
-Rest in a hotel for a couple of days (3) and get more supplies which will probably be needed.
-Sail to the French Polynesians ( Bora Bora)
-Either go back or go to Australia then eventually the Maldives.

I sorta thought you were gonna have a really, really, really fast boat - LOL...
Turning the goal into reality is the challenge. Stay focused on it and you will achieve it.

Wow, all that in one day, you should name your boat the 'Mach 3'.
Seriously, good luck with your dream, that is the way it all starts... and then it happens, it consumes you to the point of eating your brain...

The thing is i need to find a boat that is reliable, good for bluewater sailing, need 1 or 2 people to operate, and is a reasonable price preferably under $30,000.

If ever you get the boat. Forget sailing up the west coast. Sail directly to Hawaii, and then over to the west coast. That way you can sail down it.....MUCH EASIER
Just curious.......what's your age, and have you done any research at all?
P.S. maybe you meant my someday voyage?

No bluewater sailing yet, just the coast and the hudson river.

I have always said that your last voyage is of little importance......it is the NEXT one that counts!! Keep working on it!!!!
I have a world chart hung on my wall I find myself planning and refining next circumnavigation (and the one after that, then the next one, etc) I find a 'plan' lasts about 4 or 5 days before it needs to be refined or improved somewhat.
I may not be getting far, for the next while , but in the absence of endless horizons, this will do for now.

Sounds like a plan - go for it!
A couple of recommendations:
1. Plan on spending a couple of months in the Bahams. You won't regret it.
2. Consider spending some time island hopping the Caribbean before heading to Panama. You won't regret that either.
3. Check the political situation in Maldives before heading there:

You only cover about a quarter of the world! And most of that is the USA! Pull the finger out of your dreams and open your atlas! Theres a whole planet out there for you to discover! There's weird people to meet, strange cultures, unreal animals, bizarre landscapes and odd items in supermarket aisles
Get out there and see them all! Touch them, Feel them and be part of life
