So, it's not the
bluewater stuff that many or most of you do, but in our own little corner of the cruising world I'm happy to say that plans for the summer are coming together.
After a disappointing summer last year when
boat mechanics,
weather, and schedules just didn't
work out, we're now lined up for:
- June, finishing our livaboard
certification course on
Lake Ontario,
- early July, a week with friends on a 39'
Beneteau on Lake Champlain,
- late July, a week with other friends on a 50'
Jeanneau in the North Channel of Lake Huron,
- August, five days for just the two of us (unless we find a friend or two who are interested, on a 33'
Bavaria back on Lake Champlain.
My objective for the summer was to get some
experience with different
boats and different people - looks like that's finally going to happen.
Oh, and probably some time in September with the in-laws on a
canal boat in Alsace.
