How best to lay up boat ac system on the hard

How is it best to leave ac units for 6 months on the hard, close sea clocks for sea water inlet so system stays wet with sea water or is it better to let drain and dry?
Or flush with fresh water leave wet or dry?

These systems survive years of constant use and non-use on a regular basis both up north and here in the south with no hard and fast rule or any manufacturer recommended answer to your question so I suspect all you may get here is personal opinion with what you paid for it.
