Roughly $6000 at 19 knots. Less if you slow way down

Re: Fuel cost approx

Roughly $2500-$8000, give or take.

Question is missing many variables and cannot be answered except in the abstract.

Re: Fuel cost approx

Very roughly, about 1000 nm ?

Figures I've seen indicate roughly 50 gph at 20kts and 10 gph at 10kts

50 hours @ 50 gph = 2500 gal.
100 hours @ 10 gph = 1000 gal.

You can do the math on your cost per gal.

StuM don't forget it depends on how dirty the bottom is? If Sharoney is moving a reef then it's anyone's guess?
Cheers

True, there's lots of variables including boat condition, currents/sea conditions (gulf stream?), weather ...

But as a general planning figure assuming a well maintained vessel and fair conditions those numbers seen reasonable.

Actually, might be closer to 60 gph (combined) for the old Detroit Diesels that are likely installed. Somewhere around 7.5 kts she'll burn I gal/mile. At 17-18 kts, she'll be in the 5 gal/mile range.

Its why trawlers are so popular.a sistership to my Willard 36 went from San Diego to Hawaii, close to 2400 nms, and burned 330 gals of diesel at around 6.2 kts. At current prices, you could barely replace a couple halyards for that same cost in fuel.

The bottom has been cleaned everything is in perfect ready condition?
is it cost cheaper to haul it down on a trailer?

Absolutely not cheaper to truck. Given size of boat (50 footer) may not even be possible. Shipping is not possible due to Jones Act that would require the cargo (boat) be either picked up in a non-US port which is not practical from MD

If you're looking to save a few bucks beyond the $3k in fuel to run this boat south at 7.5 kts on her own bottom, well, you own the wrong boat. Use-case for this boat is not to sip fuel.

BTW - most people make the run south along the AICW. Stops along the way usually mean marina fees, though anchoring and free public Docks are often an option. But no matter how you slice it, this is not an inexpensive trip compared to driving
