Dan's Trip Down the Mississippi

I have already been on route for two weeks now. I am holed up at Portage Des Sioux, Missouri. I need an operation on my neck before I can continue. So I will fly back to WI for a month to get it taken care of. I have a blog I started just to keep track of things that happened. Off to places unknown when I was looking for information on traveling down the Mississippi I did not find much help. I hope this will help someone who is contemplating the same trip.
