Cruising the Northern Bight of Baja in July

Thinking of gunkholing from Punta Baja to Santa Domingo this July.

A couple years ago I drove from Santa Rosalillita to Canoas in August. South of Blanca it was flat and glassy, north of Blanca the typical 15k westerlies and a solid south swell. Not surprised the swell did not get in, but was surprised how fine the weather was in all of the anchorages. Wondering if that's typical that time of year or just a rare day.

Would love to hear from anyone with personal experience in the area, especially in the summer.
