Circumnavigating Vancouver Island

I am planning a trip around Vancouver Island in the summer of 2019. I’m taking just over five weeks in the middle of the summer of 2019. Leaving from and returning to Nanaimo. Going anti clockwise. I’m going up the inlets to ogle bears down the outside where I hope to have staring contests with whales. Just me and my dog Henry. Going to be a blast.

We have a similar plan for this summer but no firm dates set yet. We'll keep an eye out for you.

It will be a blast - but 5 weeks is pretty short. You'll want to linger or do a return trip

Re: Circumnavigating Vancouver Island

We had a month to do it from Seattle and weather and time constraints dictated we could not circumnavigate. Do however go to Princess Luisa Inlet if you've never been before. if you have, you're already going back LOL

Stop by Sequim Bay and say hello. We'll take you and the dog out to eat or you guys can spend a few days waiting for better weather. Some acquaintances on a J32 usually do this trip every summer and We've wanted to go to Haida Gwaii but seems out of our capabilities.
