Chesapeake to Turks & Caicos open water in December
Anyone ever sail from Chesapeake Bay, USA to Turks & Caicos in December? I was looking at the December Pilot charts. The typical winds seem favorable and the countercurrents less than 0.5 knots for all the trip minus the gulf stream. I know the typical route is Bermuda to VIs to avoid thorny path, however I'm headed for the canal ASAP in december. I'm trying to make and cruise Sea of Cortez before 2019 hurricane season with job constraints till december. Back to the subject...anyone turn off NC outer banks and head straight for Turks and Caicos in December or know anyone who has?
