Boat storage for Pacific hurricane season MX to PA?

My companion and I have a somewhat unusual "commuter cruiser" life style we are trying to make work. We need to be in the San Fran Bay area Feb 1 to May 1 as my partner is an accountant and she works during tax season. We took a slow trip south last year from San Fran to Ensenada. Now we are back in SF and are now trying to plan the next legs to get us through the Canal given that limitation. The question at this point is where are good places, if any, to leave the boat during hurricane season (June 1 to Nov 1) between Mazatlan and Panama? Assume worst case of leaving the boat for the summer and, if so, preferably on the hard. Missing half of the winter cruising season complicates things to say the least... Thanks in advance for sharing any first hand experience

Marina Mazatlan was good for us Summer 2014. Safe (!) from weather, good docks. They usually have a summer deal. Good boat management compaby there ("Tony's Boat Management", though Tony has retired, but Grant is good). Good mechanical repairs (Rafa's) and good haulout and yard.
