Best Route: Adelaide > Hawaii > Vancouver

I am living in Adelaide , South Australia. I am planning on sailing from where I am towards Hawaii, and then from Hawaii to Vancouver. Does anyone have any information on routes to take? There are soo many islands and different ways to go. Has anyone done this?
