Hi, dont know if you're still looking at this.
The only thing I can offer is to make sure of what you want. From what I've heard, they go around the world very fast leaving little time for exploration of areas you find interesting. It also leaves you unable to integrate much into local cultures. It totally depends on if that is important to you or not, and how much time you have. If you only have a couple of years to circumnavigate, it could be a great option, but if you have longer, why rush it? You could always 'tag along' for areas such as the
ARC or the pacific, even if you're not directly involved with the rally you'll still be near help if you should need it.
Just my two cents
